as a front line fighter, fighter/bomber and convoy escort. This

MK 72006 1:72 scale Fiat G.50 II Serie
Although it lost the fighter competition to the Macchi C.200, because of Fiat's strong
connections to the Regia Aeronautica and the Fascist Government, it was decided to put the
G.50 into production along with the Macchi C.200. This was an error in strategy for obvious
reasons. The G.50 in various versions was able to perform yeoman's duties for the Italians,
but really provided excellent service for the Finns in their war against the Russians. With a 50-1
kill ratio, the G.50 established itself as a worthy opponent in the skies over Finland and Russia.
This high quality kit consists of 43 resin pieces, 6 white metal pieces, vacuform and a decal sheet.
Kit $42.45. For a great reference source on this aircraft, please see "Ali D'Italia" AD06 in our
catalog.
MK 72007 1:72 scale Fiat G.50 bis/A.S.
The "Bis" was an improved version with a higher capacity electrical system, an improved
radio, larger fuel tanks and some fuselage modifications. Later, when equipped with an engine
sand filter and sand covers for control bearings, it was designated "AS" meaning North Africa.
Later wing bomb racks for 100 kg bombs were added to some for ground attack missions.
These ground attack missions were preformed with great bravery and some considerable
success. This high quality kit consists of 43 resin pieces, 6 white metal pieces, vacuform
windscreen and a decal sheet. Kit $42.45. For a great reference source, please see
"Ali D'Italia" AD06 in our catalog.
MK 72008 1:72 scale Fiat G.55
One of the best fighters of WW II, the Fiat G.55 represented the culmination of fighter
design for Fiat during the war and was able to go toe to toe with any Allied or German fighter.
A fast, heavily armed ( 3 X 20mm cannons and 2 X 12.7mm machine guns) fighter, the G.55
was very manoueverable at high altitudes. Production continued after the war with use by the
Italian Air Force and exports to Syria and Egypt. This high quality kit consists of 40+ resin
pieces with white metal parts and decals along with a vacuform canopy. Kit $42.45. For a
great reference source, please see "Aviolibri" AV03 and "Ali D'Italia" AD10 in our catalog.
