ITALIAN CLASSIC KITS OF ITALY

IC 001 Macchi C.200 serie I-VI
1:48 Scale Resin Kit
Aermacchi's and Ing. Mario Castoldi's first modern monoplane fighter. Italy's most important radial engined fighter, it saw service in every theater of their air war. While it was under gunned, it possessed finger light handling and could outturn P-40's, Hurricanes and early Spitfires. This kit consists of 50+ gray resin pieces, 6 white metal pieces, 1 vacuform windscreen and a decal sheet by Sky Models of Italy. Finely detailed, the fuselage walls are very thin similar to a plastic kit and include interior ribbing. The finest example of this aircraft kit on the market. Hand made and limited production. Kit $74.95. In our catalog, please see "Ali D'Italia" AD08 for a great reference source on the C.200 series.
IC 002 Macchi C.200 serie VII
1:48 Scale Resin Kit
Italian fighter pilots saw the new enclosed cockpit canopy on the
first series aircraft and hated it! They thought that it interfered to
much with their vision. One squadron resisted the transition from
their CR.42's so much so that the C.200's were given to another
squadron which wanted them. The solution to these objections
was this series VII production aircraft with a semi-enclosed cockpit. Similar details to the above kit. Hand made and limited
production. $74.95
IC 003 Macchi C.200 serie XXV-
1:48 Scale Resin Kit
The last in the C.200 series and the precursor to the
C.202 which shared many of the major components.
Two 7.7mm machine guns were added in the wings,
but at this point in the war, they were often removed
to save their weight. Also used as a fighter/bomber
in the ground attack role, the Macchi C.200 provided
reliable service to the Regia Aeronautica. Similar
details as above. Hand made and limited production.
$74.95
IC 009 Reggiane Re.2000
1:48 Scale Resin Kit
This is the fighter which out flew the Me.109E in flyoffs
with German and Italian pilots flying both aircraft. It did
not matter which pilots flew which planes. The Re.2000
got on the tail of the Me.109 everytime! Because it did
not have self-sealing fuel tanks, it was not selected by the
Regia Aeronautica for front line service, but was approved
for export. The British ordered 300 after test flights and
later increased the order to 1000. If Italy had stayed
neutral, it would have been Re.2000's against Me.109's
in the Battle of Britain. Flown by the Swedes and the
Hungarians with limited service with the RA. Another
hand made and limited production kit from Italian Classic.
Complete with decals from Sky Models of Italy. Photo
of completed kit in our Gallery by Riccardo Trotta.
